The Rosary Journals Chapter 1

“Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of death. Amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of death. Amen. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of death. Amen. Father, I’m ready to leave.” Miguel said nervously. “Remember when you enter the program you must earn 40 credits.” Father Martin says as he touches Miguel on the head. “Father, why 40 credits?” asked Miguel. “40, represents the completion or fulfillment. “Moses was 40 days on Mount Sinai receiving God’s Law, another 40 days on the mountain after the golden calf sin. Elijah, some 300 years later, spent 40 days on the same mountain worshiping God. There were 40 days and nights of rainfall that caused the flood of Noah. Those are a few examples of the number 40 in the Bible.” Replied Father Martin. “Father, why hast thou forsaken me? I don’t want to enter the program. I have heard horrible things about how the conscious beings behave in the program.” Miguel said as tears rolled down his face. Father Martin picked up a Rosary and grab Miguel’s hand and said, “Son, they have been given the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible explains in detail how to live in the program. However, the beings have free will and with free will, they can choose right, or they can choose wrong. When you enter the program before you start your day say the Hail Mary three times. At night, before you retire, hold your Rosary in your hand tightly and repeat the Hail Mary and the Lord’s Prayer.” Father Martin and Miguel held hands as they walked down beside Isles of the church. Miguel did not want to leave the church. As they got closer and closer to the door, Miguel’s heart begins to pump faster and faster. Miguel knew this could be the last time he saw Father Martin. Father Martin had known Miguel since the time of his birth. He baptized Miguel when he was five years old. He confirmed Miguel when he was 13. He spent countless hours teaching Miguel about the Bible. As the door opened and the Sun shined on their faces, Father looked at Miguel in said: “May the grace of the Lord be with your spirit.”

“Wake up Miguel.” A soft voice says. The voice is Karey Washington. Karey Washington is a programmer at the SURC (Simulated Universe Research Center). Miguel wipes his eyes and yarns. “How did you sleep, sir?” Karey asks. “I slept alright. I had a very strange dream.” Replied Miguel. “We have to keep a close watch on anyone before they enter the program. Can you tell me about the dream you had?” Karey asks. “In the dream, I was at a school. The school only had young children, so I would assume it was a grade school. I don’t know if I was a teacher or a coach or both.” Miguel said as he set on the edge of his bed. “Sounds like a pretty boring dream. I thought you said the dream was strange?” Asked Karey. “What made it strange was, it felt like I had been there before.” Suddenly loud sirens begin going off. Red lights in the room start flashing. “What the hell is going on?!” Yelled Miguel. “Stay here don’t move!” Karey said while panicking.  Karey runs out of the room and the door automatically locks behind her. Miguel prances back and forth. He grabs his bag and pulls out his Rosary. Amen. Suddenly the door opens, “Get up and come with me now!” Demands a black male wearing a white lab coat. As they enter the hallway, red lights are flashing all around, and sirens are going off. People with white labs coats are running around with a look of fear. “This way!” Yells Karey. Miguel and the black male follow Karey. They three-run down the hall after hall after hall. SURC is a huge research facility with over 1 million square feet. “In here quickly!” Yells Karey. “My God!” Screams Miguel. Inside the room are hundreds of people laying on tables with plugs coming out of their heads. “I thought I was the first person to enter the program? Ask Miguel. “Shut the hell up, boy! We don’t have time to answer questions. Get undressed now and get on this table!” Yelled the bald headed black male. “Put this on your arm,” Karey says, as she starts to type on a computer, sitting next to the table. “Listen to me very carefully. I will do my best to monitor your performance in the program. Miguel, you must earn 40 credits to be released back into society. You will be sent credits earned via the simulation postal service. I read about what you did. I know you did it to protect the child. But the law is the law and us as citizens must abide by the rules.” Karey tells Miguel with a nervous tone in her voice. “Mrs. Karey I’m so afraid, please give me some quick advice.” The black male forces Miguel on the table. He straps him down and pushes a pill into his mouth. “This will relax you,” the black man says. Karey and the man begin wiring him up from head to toe. “Karey, please, please give me some advice!” Miguel says as the red lights and sirens continue to go off. “We are running out of time Mrs. Washington. They know what we are doing!” Yells the black male. “Quickly, get those last four plugs in!” Karey, yells to the black man. “Miguel, you are about to enter the program. Good luck!” says Karey. “Please, please give me some advice before I begin!” Miguel says as he starts to drift out of consciousness. Karey whispers in Miguel’s ear “Learn the construct of the program, so that we can know more about ours.”
