Father Martell

Father Martell

A message to Father James J. Martell. Blessings and love to you dear brother.

We are your friends, your students, your parishioners, your family, and those who dearly miss you when you are gone. Your love and care for us were demonstrated very effectively, particularly, when you strongly advocated for our sports teams, when the referees clearly made sinful calls against us. The efficacy of service will live, infinitely, within our community, as we attend the Father James J. Martell Italian Festival, participate in the Martell’s 3-point shooting contests, and run on Race days.

We will now always link Happy with Trouble, and Charlie Tisdal, will always have a holy way of evaluating parenting skills. Your 12 years with Holy Rosary community was full of joyful communion, memorable activities, kind devotion, and challenge for us to live and lead ever better lives. You are an example of living, and we are better because we knew you. We celebrate your appearing, and our hearts are filled considering your departure.

Goodbyes are so difficult when people have enjoyed such great comradery. You are a friend who prayed with us, and for us. You are a friend who played and ran with us. Those who pray and play together should stay together. But you also taught us to share; we are learning to allow you to move on to another community and bless them the same way in which you enrich our lives. We only ask you to remember us and come back to visit us, when you have the opportunity.

Our dear brother, the blessing of the Christ will continue with you, as you start your next journey. You may rest assuredly that while you move into a new forum in another community, we will allow staying in communion with you, in the fellowship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, the son of the Blessed Mary.
